Holds bulk floss just fine. It’s the same style we use at the dentist office I work at.
I have a specific floss I used to buy in bulk, and this was a perfect match. I no longer have to wind it up on my smaller, more portable case. There are two small cutters on the metal piece, but they don't always hold the floss string in place after the cut. I wish there could be an extra holder near the cutter, because the length of floss that remains after the cut is rather small. Other than that, I find this a great purchase although the price is a bit high for a mere plastic case like this.
It works well and I love that it’s reusable.
Instructions on how to remove top of dispense from bottom would have been helpful. Thus a 4 star rating instead of a 5. I like the dispenser and floss refills especially since they’ll reduce the waste of numerous small dispensers.

I feel good about using less plastic than I used to use when I was using those smaller sized containers.To my nephew at Xmas I even gave one of these dispensers, 2 refills, fun toothpaste flavors and a toothbrush as a gift.

I am using with Listerine UltraClean floss and it works quite well. Easy to load - just unscrew the top screw like pieced it comes apart. It could be less bulky but it saves a little bit of money and plastic so I am happy with it.

You'll need this dispenser for the big rolls of the dental floss that goes with it. Simple to load and operate.
What a perfect dispenser for a 90 Yd spool of Listerine Ultraclean Mint Shred-Resistant dental tape, the kind I prefer! This is the size of an ornament - what dental offices use, that has a mechanism that holds the spool in place and keeps it unwinding smoothly, for continued use.
This floss holder was recommended to me by my dental hygienist to hold the floss she also recommended. It’s easy to load and holds a large amount. I might order another one just for when I travel.
This is a handy gadget, and more economical than the small retail packages available. I will continue to use these. (Note: this is only the dispenser, but by buying the floss in the big roll to put into the dispenser, it is so much more economical than the small packages).
My floss kept breaking, but my dentist's floss did not. We were both using the Glide brand, but his was different than the consumer heavy duty stuff in the pharmacy. The dentist gave me a couple of spools of his stuff. Not only does the dentist version come in much much longer spools, but it does NOT Break! So I ordered this to dispense the dentist spools. It works PERFECTLY and EASILY, and does exactly what I need it for. The reason I graded it down is because it shouldn't cost more than 50 cents to manufacture, so I think it is over priced. Even over priced, I would buy it again, because I need it and it works.
I've been using dental floss and, later, dental tape for over 50 years. I don't recall this problem occurring in the past, but in recent years the floss or dental tape would offer so much resistance to the pulling that it would burst out of the container. This occurred even on premium labels such as Johnson & Johnson. It would require one playing a skill game late at night just to get it working again. With this new container, I can simply reload the spindle and continue. The screw-down mechanism assures that there will be no "jack-in-the box" surprise.
This reusable container holds spools of 90 yards, compared to 30 yards in each typical disposable container. It'll save me from throwing away a lot of disposable containers each year. And it works well.
